Boumpouki (Μπουμπούκι) is an iPhone app made by Panagiotis Angelopoulos ("we"). This page explains in plain words what happens to your data. The short version: we do not collect any of your data.
What is stored, and where
Everything you enter is stored only on your device (SwiftData and files in the app's own folder): your name and due date, kicks and contractions, weight, questions for your doctor, to-dos, bump photos, letters, voice notes and checklists. The widget reads your name and due date from the device keychain. We have no server and receive none of it.
App data may be included in your device backup (iCloud or computer) if you have backups turned on, like any iPhone app. Apple manages that on your behalf.
Partner sharing (iCloud)
Sharing is optional and starts only when you send an invitation from the "Εμείς" (Us) tab. The app then stores a small set of data (due date, your names, the shared to-dos, the sharing switches and, only if you turn on the "Βάρος" (Weight) switch, your latest weight) in the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account, and shares it only with the person you invite, who sees it through their own iCloud shared database. Photos, voice notes, letters, kicks and contractions are not shared.
Apple hosts this data in your iCloud under Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it. You can stop sharing at any time from the "Εμείς" tab, which deletes the shared data from your iCloud.
What we don't do
- No account or email required.
- No ads.
- No analytics, third-party crash reporting or trackers.
- No third-party SDKs or services.
- We don't sell or share data with anyone.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
Permissions
- Camera: for the weekly bump photo. Photos stay on your iPhone.
- Photo library: to pick an existing bump photo.
- Microphone: for voice notes to the baby. Recordings stay on your iPhone.
- Calendar: to add a test to your iPhone Calendar, only when you choose to.
Each permission is requested only when you use that feature and can be revoked in iPhone Settings.
Deleting your data
Εμείς (Us) → "Διαγραφή όλων των δεδομένων" (Delete all data) erases your name, date, kicks, contractions, weight, questions, to-dos, photos, letters, voice notes and checklists from the device. You can also delete individual entries, or simply delete the app. For shared data in iCloud, choose "Σταμάτα την κοινή χρήση" (Stop sharing) in the Us tab.
Children
The app is meant for adults and collects no data from anyone, including children.
